ACSC Membership

Benefits of Membership

The Advanced Cyber Security Center is a cross-sector collaboration established by leading industry executives, university experts and public officials to position New England as a national and global leader in responding to advanced cyber threats.

The ACSC organizes strategic university-industry-government partnerships to strengthen the effectiveness of each organization’s efforts to detect and deter the most sophisticated cyber attackers.

Member benefits include:

  • Participation in face-to-face and virtual engagement platforms aimed at strengthening the sophistication of technical staff in responding to advanced cyber threats. The meetings will help members identify their current cyber operation maturity levels and necessary steps to operate at their goal levels of cyber maturity.

  • Meetings framed around the cyber threat “Kill Chain” including demonstration of tools, tactics, techniques, procedures, and strategies to address the threats led by Principal MITRE Infosec Engineer and national APT expert Matt Richard and Work Group Chair Jim Caulfield, Director, Operational Intelligence, Internet & Directory Services Group, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

  • Full access to the ACSC Cyber Sharing Portal, a secure online platform for sharing threat information and a virtual extension of the face-to-face collaborations among member information security operations staff. The Portal provides a forum for members to share best practices and post threat signatures that will populate a searchable repository of threat and response information.

  • Credentialed access privileges to the Advanced Cyber Security Center at The MITRE Corporation, where members can experiment with new tools and techniques under direction from senior MITRE APT experts. Members will have the opportunity to provide anonymized information, including packet capture and log data, for comprehensive analysis of system weakness, anomalies and evidence of infiltration.

  • Utilization of the web-based and interactive ACSC New England Cyber Security Resource Guide as a framework to strengthen university-industry relationships and facilitate connections to the region’s leading cyber security researchers.

  • Review significant R&D challenges and organize regional assets to access funding and develop solutions.

  • Deeper access channels to the brightest undergraduate and graduate students for internships and jobs through a recommendation network composed of leading faculty. The ACSC will expand the regional talent pool available to employers and promote the expansion of graduate cyber security degree and certificate programs.

  • Shape new approaches to the emerging cyber security challenges affecting individuals, corporations and the nation through collaboration with industry leaders, academic experts and government officials.

  • Promotion of your organization’s national thought leadership through policy forums and white papers. Member firms will develop policy recommendations to support more effective defenses and expanded collaborations around advanced cyber threats.

  • Full participation in the annual ACSC Conference including members-only strategy sessions and VIP briefing for CEOs. The Conference provides practical and thought-provoking programming and networking to accelerate organizational goals.
