Mass Insight sponsored, with the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council, the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office New York, and the Hong Kong Association of Massachusetts, a Breakfast Talk – Fostering New Business Partnerships between Boston and Hong Kong at the Harvard Club of Boston on October 18, 2012.

Johnny Ip, President, Hong Kong Association of Massachusetts and William Guenther, Chairman, CEO and Founder of Mass Insight opened up a panel discussion featuring Donald Tong, Hong Kong Commissioner for Economic and Trade Affairs, Louis Ho, Regional Director, Americas, Hong Kong Trade and Development Council, and Richard Ho, Distinguished Fulbright Scholar and Chair Professor of Finance, City University of Hong Kong.

Commissioner Tong provided a first-hand account of Hong Kong’s economic competitive edges and the areas of opportunities for U.S. businesses in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong’s Financial Vitality Continues written by William H. Overholt, Senior Research Fellow at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance at the Harvard Kennedy School provides a compelling overview of Hong Kong’s financial services sector.

This event is a continuation of the “Global Finance Centers 2020” series that was launched on June 11th at a Forum event hosted by London and Boston at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

The “Global Finance Centers 2020” series is dedicated towards developing new business and academic partnerships between Boston and other global finance centers.
