Mass Insight shapes the debate and the state's agenda through a
unique partnership with corporate and institutional clients, providing
polling, issues reports and public-private leadership forums. Mass
Insight’s Corporate Client Group serves as the foundation
for all of our specialized initiatives. The Corporate Client Group
identifies the priority issues on which we focus, and the Initiative
sponsors and supporters come largely from the Corporate Client Group.
Global Massachusetts 2015
Mass Insight Corporation and its partners are convening Global
Massachusetts 2015, a two-year leadership initiative to
create a vision for economic success in key and emerging industry
sectors over the next 10 years. Our goal is to build consensus on
the agenda that will make Massachusetts a world leader in R&D,
while bringing good jobs to the entire state. more>
Science & Technology
Mass Insight is coordinating a drive to raise the visibility of
Massachusetts R&D initiatives, to advocate for a science and technology-based
economic development strategy, and facilitate new business-university
collaboration opportunities. With a new leadership group of the
research universities and high tech businesses, and related issue
reports, this is a strategic initiative to inventory major university-based
R&D, find out what industry is looking for and review collaborations
that succeed. Mass Insight and its partners on the initiative, AIM
and the Mass. High Tech Council, are focusing the effort on key
areas such as life sciences, computers, telecommunications, defense,
advanced materials and environmental sciences. more>

Clean Water Council
Since 1992, Mass Insight has run the Massachusetts Clean Water
Council (MCWC), a statewide partnership of leaders from major public
water authorities, mayors, town managers and public works directors
facing water resource challenges, and private sector professionals,
to advocate for adequate state and federal funding and effective
regulatory priorities for drinking water and wastewater projects.
MCWC has been a partner with the state environmental agencies and
EPA-New England on numerous regulatory initiatives, is a source
of information for the state's congressional delegation, and has
been a key player with the executive and legislative branches and
the state treasurer's office on all funding debates since 1992 related
to the State Revolving Loan funds (SRFs) which support water projects.

Infrastructure
— Transportation, Water, Energy, and Telecommunications
The Infrastructure Initiative was established in 2000 to focus
attention on the need to expand investment — and improve priority-setting
— for major infrastructure projects that support business expansions
and quality of life.
In partnership with the Artery Business Committee, Associated Industries
of Massachusetts, Mass Insight's Clean Water Council, the Massachusetts
Taxpayers Foundation, and individual partners, the initiative advocates
a coordinated economic development strategy for transportation,
water, energy and telecommunications.
