Global Massachusetts 2015
Executing a Talent and Innovation Sector-Based Strategic Plan

Mass Insight Corporation and its partners have convened Global Massachusetts 2015, a leadership initiative to create a vision for economic success in key and emerging industry sectors over the next 10 years. Our goal is to build consensus on the agenda that will make Massachusetts a world leader in R&D, while bringing good jobs to the entire state.

What is Global Massachusetts 2015?

Global Massachusetts 2015 is a multi-year initiative that brings together major business groups, industry and higher education leaders to develop and advance a comprehensive economic agenda that will position Massachusetts to win the competition for talent, the key to securing the future prosperity for all our citizens. Building on the findings of Mass Insight’s groundbreaking 2004 Technology Road Map study, Global Massachusetts 2015 focuses on national and international trends shaping major and emerging industry sectors and establishes a vision for success in 2015 and beyond.

Goals of the Initiative

  • Change the debate and shape leadership opinion around a pro-growth global strategy.
  • Identify and build consensus on 4 to 5 “global challenges” in key technologies and industry sectors where Massachusetts can be a world innovation leader.
  • Build support for a coordinated higher education strategy to achieve the major innovation opportunities.
  • Position Boston as an international capital—Massachusetts as a global innovation center.
