Champy, Grogan, O'Hanley Join Steering Committee

Boston, August 30, 2006 – Mass Insight is pleased to announce that James Champy, C. Jeffrey Grogan and Ronald P. O'Hanley have joined the Global Massachusetts 2015 Steering Committee.

James Champy is chairman of Perot Systems Corporation's consulting practice and head of strategy for the company. Mr. Champy is a leading authority on the management issues surrounding business engineering, organizational change and corporate renewal. Prior to joining Perot Systems, he was chairman and CEO of CSC Index, the management consulting arm of Computer Services Corporation. He has the authored or co-authored several books, including bestsellers Reengineering the Corporation and Reengineering Management. Champy earned bachelor's and master's degrees from MIT and a JD from Boston College Law School. He is a life member of the MIT Corporation and a member of the Boston College Law School Board of Overseers.

C. Jeffrey Grogan is a partner, senior account manager and chief of staff at Monitor Group. Jeff also leads Monitor's national, regional and cluster competitiveness practice, and serves as an advisor to business and government leaders on economic competitiveness issues. In the 1990s he directed a strategy study for Massachusetts and co-authored several economic competitiveness presentations with Harvard Business School Professor Michael E. Porter. Jeff is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. Following his commission as a naval officer, he served aboard destroyers in the Pacific Fleet. After that, he earned an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.

Ronald P. O'Hanley is a vice chairman of Mellon Financial Corporation and president and chief executive officer of Mellon Asset Management, the umbrella organization for Mellon's investment management and retail mutual fund distribution businesses. He is also a member of Mellon's Operating Committee, the corporation's most senior management body. Prior to joining Mellon, O'Hanley was a partner at McKinsey and Company, Inc. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School, serves on a variety of education and non-profit boards and is visiting professor in the University of Edinburgh's School of Economics and Management Studies.

Global Massachusetts 2015 is a two-year economic development initiative that brings together major business groups, industry and higher education leaders to develop and advance a comprehensive state economic agenda that will position Massachusetts to win the competition for talent, which is the key to securing future prosperity.
